Smartleaf seeks a smart, creative, self-motivated software engineer to build out the next generation data machinery for our breakthrough finance app/service.

The primary responsibility is managing data flow. We seek someone who will meet this immediate need, but more importantly automate the job to allow for improvements and real-time support with dramatically less manual intervention. The ultimate goal of this position is to reduce manual work and to allow for greater access and control over the data we are already accumulating. Billions of dollars of transactions depend on this work.

The ideal candidate has experience maintaining critical real-world data feeds and archives in a Unix environment, and has built tools to make the job easier. We are intentionally omitting an overly specific skill-set because we believe the right person would not have trouble adapting.
