Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Smartleaf
In our early days, we thanked new clients by sending them live lobsters. We’re located in Boston, and we wanted to send something local. It came down to lobsters or baked beans, and lobsters won out.
Suffice it to say it seemed like a good idea at the time.
On the plus side, our clients’ surprise appeared genuine. And memorable—more than a decade later, we still hear about their, err, thrill at having live lobsters crawl across their office desks (really). But it didn’t take us long to figure out live crustaceans may not have been the perfect way to express our gratitude. Our apologies to those who feel left out—the lobsters, at least, are grateful.
We do, however, still want to say thank you to our clients. Thank you for working with with us to make our product better. Thank you for inspiring us to keep pushing the limits of what’s possible.
